My daughter scolded me.....

My daughter Chelsea is sort of a Ghost Hunting Tonto to my Lone Ranger. We went on a Ghost Hunt here at the Inn last night. If you read my blog you will remember  a photo of a spirit sitting under the Funeral Director sign in the basement. I was showing it to someone who is very familiar with the spirits in the house as I thought it might be Michael , a soldier who died in the house. She looked at the photo and said "That is Gordy" I was like "Gordy?? Who is Gordy?" Gordy was also a soldier who died in the house. She said that is his chair. A few people have seen him and he is always in that chair" I said he looks pissed off in that picture. His arms are crossed and his head is turned. She said "His arm is in a sling" OMG I was amazed. I decided that the next time I went down into the basement I was going to leave something down there for him (much like the guests leave toys for Jeremy and Sissy). I said to my daughter " I want to leave something in the basement for Gordon. What do you think I should leave?'  At this point I got an interesting look from her...I'm being kind here.It was more a look like how do I get my mother committed as soon as possible . I got this look once before from her.  I was picking up some photos in Walmart and talking about the spirits and I turn around and she was quietly going around the corner to hide..lol...she said "Mom you should not leave anything" I grabbed a post it note pad and wrote on it." I love Gordy" and when we went downstairs I taped it behind his chair.
As we are sitting there I begin to take photos over my shoulder and in the very first picture is Gordy!!!Now that's what I call gratitude!!

You see my shoulder here and there is Gordon....Is this incredible or what?? Look in the left corner of the photo.. Who is that man?? I just don't know.

Remember what I said about mirrors??

I totally believe that mirrors are portals that  can used to move between this world and the spirit world. I was in the attic and the basement trying to get some new photos to update our company website . I took a few pictures in each and then went back to the office. I uploaded the photos to the computer and really didn't see anything out of the ordinary..that is UNTIL I looked at the photo near the mirror . As I adjusted the light in the photo I saw an amazing sight !!

Do you see the face ?? The beard??  This is a face in the mirror!!! I was the ONLY person down there!! How do I explain it?? I don't but man is that awesome!! Not to mention what looks like a bunch of other people around the mirror. I wish I could explain it..

Throwback Thursday , My Lightning Fast Mind and Oh What a Difference 3 Weeks Makes!!

Okay everybody I think we have all come to realize by now that no matter what I do or say it is ALWAYS with enthusiasm !! Three weeks ago on July 9th I took a video in the McFarlene room of the Inn and I have poured over and antagonized over it daily. This video was so surreal to me because I saw what was happening in it and I was powerless to explain how or why it was happening. I was sitting on my couch last night waiting for my husband to come home .I was watching the video and I paused it to try and get a clearer look at it. When I did that my lightning fast mind thought  that perhaps if I left this paused and snapped a photo of the screen I would be able to get a better look at what I was  seeing. Well...I snapped a photo and another and another and for the love of God I was astonished by what I saw.

This is a still shot of the video I filmed in the McFarlane Room . You will see various things outlined with arrows on here. NONE of these things were present when I entered the room or set the camera down!!! Si I'm looking at this picture and I'm like hhhmmmmm that something on the bed looks familiar. Then it hit me.....the lightning bolt of memory....I had seen the apparition on the bed before!!!

This is  copy of a photo that was taken in the McFarlane Room several years ago. You will see an apparition on the bed.....look familiar??? I think its the same person..hence the throwback Thursday reference....the same bonnet and everything....is this weird or what??

Mirror's as Portals???

Definition of a portal

1. A doorway, entrance, or gate, especially one that is large and imposing
2. An entrance or a means of entrance.
3. The portal vein.

Here at the Farnsworth House Inn there is a mirror in the cellar. That mirror is imposing, beautiful and I truly believe a portal for spirit beings to enter this earthly realm. I know I have talked about this mirror before and I absolutely believe that the spirits in this house are not limited to the 14 known ones we know about but that the spirits in this house are legion....I was down in the basement today. I went down there because I have had some very intense experiences down there and I felt compelled to do so. As  I went down the steps I was apprehensive but excited. It was so dark that I almost turned around and went back up the steps but I found the light and approached the mirror. I took 3 photos and a few around the perimeter of the room and went back upstairs. When I looked at the mirror photos I saw a very distinct image. Lets see what you see....

A Co-Worker Experiences The Basement....That's a Good Thing!!

My personal mantra in life is that enthusiasm is contagious. (Yes ...that's right...forget about the flu being contagious). Life is good and experiences are meant to be shared and learned from. I have managed to get a few of my co-workers as fired up and excited about the Farnsworth House and Ghost Hunting as I am!!This photo was taken in the Basement of the Inn on a Ghost Hunt last week.

We are all up and ready to go out to the Grove and you will notice two faces in front of the one gentleman It is just insane what is going on down there and its always awesome to see confirmation in other peoples photos.

On a Lighter Note..... Not the next Annabelle Doll ...I Hope

I am the housekeeping supervisor here as well as a Guest Services Representative and I have a staff of 4 ladies who work for me and do a great job. One of them , her name is Kelly, is a really sweet girl who had a really weird experience and I thought i would share it with you. Kelly was cleaning the Sweney Room in the main house and that was not a room that she usually did. If you ever stay here you will notice that guests will leave all sorts of toys and things behind for the children spirits that are in the house. In the Sweney room some folks left a doll.

Rather ordinary right? It does play "Ring Around The Rosey" when you clasp the hands together. So I was upstairs cleaning nd I came down to the laundry room and I see a letter sitting on the table. I pick it up and it read as follows 

Tuesday June 24th, 10:45 am

Baby Doll was found in Sweney room of the house. As I was cleaning the room I felt like something was watching me. I picked the doll up and said " Stupid F****** Doll" It started singing "Ring around the Rosey" I tried to get the hands apart and it would not stop - even when I got the hands apart. I took the doll and through it down the staircase. I finished cleaning the room, I heard what sounded like a child's laugh. I heard this plain and clear!! I then heard whistling in the room. The laughter was in the hall!!!

This room was activity in it - doll is possess"

We all got a little laugh about it. i took the doll and put it back in the room and all was quiet for about a month , until Friday July 25th, 2014.

I came down and there was another note. It read as follows

"Today I was cleaning the Sweney room. I smelled Spearmint throughout the room. I heard a faint sounding child's voice say "would you like to play?" I looked over to the baby doll  and put it in the hallway. I had put the key to the room in my pocket and I cleaned the room. When I reached into my pocket it was GONE!!As I began to look around I noticed it on the floor by the bathroom door. There was no way that got there on its own!"

Devils Den???

Okay....I am now going to admit something shameful....In the 5 plus years I have lived in Gettysburg I have driven through the Battlefield many times but never walked it.!!! I know ...booooo, hiiissssss!! Well one of my co workers was kind enough to invite me and my daughter to go with them last night. We went to Devils Den and I was indeed in awe. When you walk there you truly understand the meaning of the term "Hollowed Ground" I was walking along and they were pointing out different areas of interest. I started taking photos and was instantly struck by one...and I realize I am dating myself here (but not to much I hope)  when I saw this photo I was reminded of the old Lawrence Welk Show when the bubbles would be everywhere as the music played. I will also admit (since I'm baring my soul) that orbs have never really excited me to much because of other things I've seen but this photo definitely got my attention.

I realize that orbs are energy and they come in all shapes , sizes and colors!! When you consider  that people come in all shapes, sizes and colors as well  it all makes sense and all my stupid , petty, little insignificant problems pale in comparison to the things that happen around us everyday!!  I am really so blessed!!
As we were walking I noticed that one of the photos I had taken had something truly awesome in it.

If you look between these two tree you will see a face peering out at you. This was taken at Devils  Den the same evening.

I was talking to my daughter and I told her sometimes I feel like I'm in the movie The Sixth Sense because no matter what happens or where I am I see things and perceive them and I know I'm not dead..lol..but it feels so strange to realize that spirits are ALL around us EVERYWHERE and if we have eyes to see we will see.

I Don't Know What to Make of It...

The more I look at these photos the more strange things I see!!  This is my daughter. She has the EMF in her hand and look what is like "resting" on her shoulder!! Who is that?? In all honesty I took about 110 pictures on this ghost hunt and about 25 % of them have unexplainable things in them!! INCREDIBLE

The Basement 2.0....What just ran past me??

 In all my born days I will never be able to explain the crazy things that happen to me sometimes when I am here. Again on the 23rd we were getting ready to ghost hunt...my perception alarm was on full alert as I had already seen the things going on behind me. As I'm sitting there with my daughter Jim begins to explain the equipment and the EMF meter. When he was done I went and grabbed the EMF from him because I was still perceiving activity behind me and near me. I actually stood up because I couldn't sit down due to my discomfort. I handed Chelsea the EMF and told her to be aware. After a few minutes I said to Jim  "there is alot of stuff going on right now." and he yells out "Did you see that. Something just ran by you." The EMF kept spiking up to red. Later as I was looking through my photos I saw this....WOW...check it out

That is my lovely daughter Chelsea's arm holding the EMF meter...now please look to the right of the photo under the chair...do u see what I see?? OMG A PERSON??? How does this happen logically??

What is it about the basement???

When i was growing up my mother worked nights and I spent alot of time at my Grandparents house. They were up there in years but they always tried to make things nice for my brother and I.  The had a basement where I used to go and rollerskate and they set a room aside for toys if we wanted to play down there. I did not like it....I hate spiders and it was not a nice finished basement like most people have today....it was a BASEMENT...complete with cobwebs AND spiders....uuuuhhhhhh.
 Anyway I have had some really incredible experiences in this basement. Wednesday, July 23rd was no exception. My daughter Chelsea and I , my coworker Kathy and her husband Chris and another coworker Jen and her boyfriend Ryan all decided to do the 8:45 Ghost Hunt here at the Inn. I was brimming with anticipation!! At around 5 pm we had a pretty severe storm  and I have found that two things I like when getting ready for an investigation are thunder storms and being with people who share my beliefs about spirits and my attitude twords ghost hunting.
We went into the basemant and sat down. I was in the second row with my daughter sitting next to me. As I'm sitting there minding my own business..lol...I percieved something behind me. When I say percieved I mean I did not feel anything touch me or breathe on my but i just KNEW something was there. I did not want to turn around and look so I took my camera and turned it around and snapped 3 photos. I looked at the screen to view them and almost dropped the camera.

This photo is crazy!!! The hair and ear you see are mine. As I said I did not want to turn around to take the picture so I snapped over my shoulder. Look at the animal that is right BEHIND ME!! But it gets better look at teh wall under the funeral director sign.....There are TWO PEOPLE SITTING THERE!!! ONE TO THE LEFT WHO APPEARS TO BE A SOLDIER AND THE OTHER IM NOT SURE!! IF I HAD A ROOFTOP AVAILABLE TO ME IDBE SCREAMING FROM IT!!
There was NO ONE back there. Therev were 8 people on the ghost hunt and 6 of them were in the front row and my daughter and I were in the second row.

The Grove - One of the Most Haunted Areas on the Battlefield ?? I know what I think ...Now you tell me

Last night my daughter Chelsea and I went on the 8:45 Ghost Hunt at the Inn. It was an extremely weird day with weather and it had stormed significantly before we got there. We went into the basement first (I'm saving THAT experience for my next posting!!!) and explained the equipment and then off we went to the Grove. Those of you who do not know about the Grove let em give you the 411. The grove is located across the street from the Farnsworth House Inn. It was the sight of 2,000 battle deaths on July 3rd , 1863.
The middle school was located out here but within the last month was knocked down and the ground displaced and the amount of activity has been "off the hook"
Chelsea and I were walking along using our EMF meter. It was spiking quite a bit and I was doing usual routine of taking a photo when I saw a spike in the K-2 and my goodness what I captured.

My daughter and I were investigating with our EMF meter and it continued to spike up. In this photo at the bottom you will see the green glow of that EMF meter and the apparition above. Incredible to believe how close we can be to things and be so unaware.

 Again my EMF was spiking like CRAZY and as is my usual practice I began snapping photos randomly. Little did I know what was standing right in front of me. I see at least 4 soldiers faces in this photo...AWESOME, AWESOME< AWESOME

The Saddest Day of My Life , The Basement and A Life Changing Experience

SO.....where do i start. I guess I'll start at the beginning which would be the end of the night yesterday (Sunday 7/13). We were hosting what is known as an "Everyday Paranormal Night" which is a 4 hour investigation of the Farnsworth House. So I was working in the bookstore and people started coming in who were going to be participating. I began speaking to some of them and was excited because some of them had AWESOME equipment...and I wanted to see what would happen.  The investigation began at 9 and the bookstore closes at 9:30 so i thought well I'll drop in for a few minutes after i get out of work just to see if things are happening...mistake number one ...(Not Really) . So i go downstairs and everyone is sitting in the front of the basement. I then proceed to go right to the back by myself...mistake number two ...(but not really) and sit down. Almost immediately I heard what I will describe as a "shuffling" noise. it came from the back right corner of the cellar. I took my trusty IPhone and began snapping pictures. I then began looking around and listening to Jim's talk about the equipment when all of a sudden the thought crossed my mind  "I hope tonight is not a dud. It doesn't seem like to much is going on tonight"...mistake number three....I should know better than to ever think!! At that moment I felt something behind me..around my neck....not hurting me..but hovering over me. I turned to one of the ladies and I said "Something is going on behind me" so they come over and brought a K-2 meter and began asking questions. The meter was shooting up in answer to several things. Almost immediately I felt sudden cold and I hesitate tos ay this but what the hell....i have nothing to lose and no one to impress...something either went through me....or was more close to me than anyone should be because immediately I felt this weight set on me...and I began to sob...and when i say sob I mean uncontrollable sob ( I thought about it after the fact and the last time I cried like that was when my Grandmother died and she was as close to me as my mother) i couldn't speak. After about 10 minutes it began to lift and I tried to stand up. As soon as I did I I again felt that overwhelming feeling  and one of the ladies again began asking questions. I started sobbing again and the woman asked " Do you like Annette and do you want her to be your friend? " The light shot up to red!! I really lost it!!! How do I fully put into words an experience that changes you...from the inside out.

Was this the sad person who was making me cry?? He looks very sad. It was a fantastic experience to feel what someone else was feeling but at the same time I cant help but wonder what made all this occur.

Why the McFarlane, Why the Christening Dress , Why , Why, Why???

The last week or so I have had some VERY intense experiences in the McFarlane room. This week the Inn was not very busy so I had extra time to go through the rooms and make sure that they were ready for guests. I went into the McFarlene room and was checking everything and I saw the white christening dress move by itself. The A/C was not on and believe me there is no breeze up there I approached the dress and I reached out to touch the fabric an I said "this is a really pretty dress" Instantly it was like I got a small jolt of energy up my arm.. I took my IPhone and set it to record and set it down. i left the room and came back about 4 minutes later. I was shocked!! I saw something (was not EXACTLY sure what) behind the dress.
So today when I went into work I brought my camera that can record. I went into the room and turned on the lights. I set the camera down to record and left the room. About 5 minutes later I came back. I took the camera and closed up the room. I finished my work and proceeded to go home. I uploaded the video to my computer and threw some light on it. I am going to let you watch it and tell me what you see. Pay attention to the bed and the dress...specifically behind it.

The Basement is No Place For Children...or is it??? I

I am a true believer. When I say that I really mean it. My family has a long history of spiritualism dating back to the early 1900's and I have 2 generations of practicing Mediums in my family from Lilydale , NY. It is so amazing to me that even though I always expect when I come into work to have an experience when I do have one I'm still in almost a state of shock every time!!
Last night my daughter and I decided to go on the Ghost Hunt at the Inn. We had some very bad weather so Jim was a little late and we stood outside waiting. There were 7 of us who were going to be participating and Jim led us into the basement. We all at down and Jim began his talk about the equipment. Now if you have never been in the basement of the Farnsworth I need to explain that the dining room is above it. Sometimes , depending on the time of day people will still be in the dining room and you will hear footsteps or vacuuming. Well as we sat down I heard "creaking" but it was not coming from above me. It was NEAR me!! So I quietly grabbed my camera and without using the flash began taking some pictures of the area I heard the creaking.
As I snapped the pictures I could see them on the screen and as my mind is trying to comprehend what I'm looking at I hear my daughter say "Whats wrong? Are you okay?" I didn't realize my hand was on my chest and my eyes were bulging out... I said "Look at this"
In the photo you can see Jim and then  if you look over you can see TWO CHILDREN sitting on the floor . I was in shock. When I got home and continued to look through the photos I saw numerous faces . It is absolutely incredible the activity that is present at this Inn DAILY!!!

 Here I see Jim, several orbs, a figure in blue where the arrow is and the two children sitting on the floor.

This person?? was peering out from behind the Lincoln Bust.

Cellar , Cellar , Cellar ,Cellar

I have had a myriad of experiences in the Cellar of the Farnsworth House. Some that have left me with way more questions than answers. I am going to share a few of the photos with you.

In this photo you will see the door to the catacombs. You will see the face peeking out, there is a HUGE black cloud of ectoplasm , and  a skull at the base of the photo.

You will see that a crouching person is looking up at something....what that something is I DO NOT KNOW. It looks like some sort of animal.

Then we have this photo. I see several different faces in this photo.

The Grove...They say it's one of the most haunted areas on the Battlefield...You tell me ...

Every time when I view photos taken by myself or someone else I marvel at what is included in them. This photo was taken out on the Grove. The Grove is an area of the Battlefield that is incredibly active. On July 3rd there were 2,000 battle deaths in a two hour time span.  This photo was taken by a family who was on one of our ghost walks. When the original photo came to us it was dark and some filters have been applied to it. I see no less than 7 different face!!! Was it being the 4th of July weekend that caused all this activity or is it simply all the restless souls who can not rest. Whichever it is doesn't matter . What DOES matter is that when that veil is lifted we can see some AWESOME things!!

Peek A Boo... I See You

The other night Jim and I were having a EVP session down in the Cellar of the Farnsworth House. We had invited several guest who were staying here at the Inn to participate with us. Everyone sat up twords the front of the Cellar so I decided to move to the back so I could film and see if anything happened. I snapped a few pictures and then I picked up the video camera. I turned it on and pointed it to the front of the Cellar by the door to the Catacombs. As I begin filming I was stopped dead in my tracks. From out in the corner I see from the nose up a face staring at me!! I yelled "OMG please someone come back here" One of our guest who was staying in the Belle Boyd room came running over to me and I said "look in the corner and please tell me you see what i'm seeing" She was everybit as shocked as I was. I said "Stay back here I'm going to go up there and look around" I went to the front and there was NOTHING there. I walked back and it was there again. That was a very strange night!! Several things happened. These are the photos that will show you what i'm talking about.

I this first photo you will notice that there is nothing in the empty area where the dead bird is by the catacombs.

In this second photo you will notice a face from the nose up peeking out.

The Cellar- EVP Session Number Two

We were in the Cellar doing another EVP session and the K-2 Meter was spiking up like crazy.  The Cellar is FULL of activity.As I snapped numerous pictures little did I know what I would come up with. I guess that is one of the reasons I take alot of pictures. I always hope and believe i might see something but am always thrilled when I actually do!! I use my crappy iPhone only and I never use a flash. I will upload pictures to my computer and just throw filters on the picture to see if anything comes out. Well this night was phenomenal. Take a look at these photos.

This photo was taken in the Cellar and you will notice Jim sitting in a chair and the green light you see is my EMF meter. On the floor by my feet you see what appears to be a child sitting and looking at Jim. Behind Jim  you can see a man with a mustache. There was No One behind Jim at all!

This photo was taken up in front of the Cellar near the gravestone . This is what appears to be a child standing next to it.

In this photo you will see what appears to be ectoplasm encompassing the entire left side of the photo. There is a face in the mist  and what appears to be a small white face next to it.

This photo was taken in the Cellar as well. As you can see by the green there i am with my EMF meter ,There are two faces over in the upper right hand corner and what appears to be a crouching person ?  Soldier??

OMG this photo was taken when one of our participants had a thermal vision app on her phone and noticed something over in the corner. The Lincoln Bust is supposed to be there. The other person is not. Or is he? I have no idea.

And the Undisputed Guest Room Champion of the Farnsworth House is..the McFarlane Room

 I LOVE when our guests have an experience. We had two wonderful sisters staying in the McFarlane room. They were repeat guests who were here for the 4th time within a year. The activity they experienced was without a doubt incredible. They were using a spirit box in the room with divining rods asking the spirits questions. They asked how many spirits were present in the room and the answer was one word "ENTIRE" did that mean the entire room was filled with spirits?

The ladies went to bed and the one said she felt an intense cold on her right side. Her sister was asleep so she reached for camera and started snapping pictures. By the time she took the 3rd picture she noticed the white ectoplasm which you will notice in this first photo in the lower left corner.. She took another photo and thought that if she zoomed in on the mirror that she might be able to see if something was next to her. Well as you can see in the second photo you will notice  when you zoom into the mirror there are MANY things present in the reflection but the most prominent is the figure you see with the arrow.

I Owe the McFarlane Room a HUGE Apology

I suppose just like everything else in life we choose things that our are favorites. Whether it is food, TV shows or heck even people. I think everyone who works here probably has a favorite guest room. I have always been partial to the Sweney Room and disliked the McFarlane Room. I can not give you a specific reason why I was not that fond of that guest room but I can tell you that it always felt "heavy" to me in that room Well within the last 7 days some things have occurred that have made me say "Move over Sarah Black Room their is a new sheriff in town and it's name is McFarlane" For those who might not understand the reference about the Sarah Black Room. The Sarah Black Room is thought to be the most active room at the Inn. It is the room where Jeremy died in what is now the bathroom but at the time was a nursery.. I can not dispute the activity in that room but what I have seen lately calls that of most haunted  into doubt. 

This is a very long story with two parts. I will give you part two here and part one next...backwards I know but bear with me. We had 2 sets of guests in this room in the last week who have experienced paranormal activity that I would equate as being "Off the Charts" The second couple who were in the room were showing me some videos that showed a small white christening dress that is hanging on the wall in the room. In the video the dress visibly moves apparently on its own. I will post that as soon as she sends it to me. So after saying goodbye to them I proceeded to strip the bed and begin to clean the room.

The young lady who had been staying there had taken the EMF meter and went around the perimeter of the room with it. It spiked to red in only one area of the room and that was the left hand corner of the room by the rocking chair and remained red until fully removed from that area. I took my iPhone and began snapping pictures in both corners of the room by the bed. I went about my business and went home. I sat down and began uploading the pictures to my computer and I almost fainted. 

I have never seen anything like this in my life .

On the right hand side of the bed behind the lamp is a face.

On the right side of the bed near the white christening gown was this small figure.

I can not account for the haze that is visible in this photo.

And in the corner where the EMF meter refused to go below red is one of the most incredible things I've ever see. The face in that picture frame is NOT actually in the picture.

NO DISPUTING...NO DENYING..WOW

I know I have mentioned this before but it bears repeating I simply love working here!! I am afforded awesome opportunity's at every turn to meet wonderful people and share stories and photos of paranormal experiences. We recently had two sisters here with us on there 4th visit to the Inn. They were guests in the McFarlane Room and shared this picture with me. This is taken in the garret (attic) of the Farnsworth House during a Ghost Hunt. She felt like going off by herself to investigate and  decided to sit by the window from which we believe a confederate sharpshooter fired the fatal shot at Jennie Wade. This incredible photo shows a face and what looks like a skull in the window panes as well as a rather large orb right next to her. Thank You so much for sharing this picture. It does not get much better than this!

EVP Session - Farnsworth House Cellar

As a result of all the activity as of late here at the Inn I asked Jim , one of our guides, if he would conduct an EVP session in the Cellar to see if we could connect with anyone. As we were getting started my EMF Meter was shooting up to red constantly. I began to take pictures. One of the gentleman that was with us said "I'm feeling very cold" and he was pointing to his left side. I grabbed the digital surface thermometer and pointed to his right arm and then his left arm. There was a 12 degree difference between both sides. I started snapping photos . We had some really good results with the divining rods and the mag lights. I was standing by the mirror using the rods when all of a sudden I felt an immense rush of cold air down my back. Then I heard it....whispered in my ear....ANNETTE...my name was whispered in my ear !!! I tried to remain calm and I approached Jim and handed him the rods and sat down. The session concluded shortly thereafter and I went home. My husband got up at 4:30 am to go to work and I decided to stay up and look through the photos. Some of the results are here...

This is Tony. He and his Dad were in the McFarlane room and as he was  sitting there he said he felt cold on his side. This shadow figure was seen peering out from behind the wooden beam...exactly on the side he felt the intense cold.

There were numerous faces here behind another beam. If you are ever here in person please ask me to see the photo on my phone so you can zoom in and see the detail.

This is a photo of Jim who is one of the guides at the Inn. I am not sure what this is behind him but its interesting to say the least.

WHAT OR WHO IS THAT??

I work both

in the bookstore at the Farnsworth House and in the Housekeeping department. I really enjoy talking to the guests and helping to keep the Farnsworth looking great. The other day I was in the cellar and saw that the mirror really was very dirty and needed to be windexed. I proceeded to get the paper towels and clean it up. Whenever I go into a room here at the Inn to clean I always say "I'm not here to disturb you I am just going to straighten up and then i'm leaving" I took several pictures of the perimeter and went about my business. When I got home later in the evening I was sitting on my couch uploading the photos and I was stopped dead in my tracks...there was a figure standing by the door to the catacombs in the basement. I don't know who it is , or what it is and I have no logical way to explain it but i'm certainly open to ideas.Check it out

My Daughter, The Disembodied Scream and the PhotoThat Kept Me Up That Night

My 15 year old daughter is still at the age when she is okay with doing things with her old Mom . I was working my shift in the bookstore and my coworker Kathy came in and said "What tours do you you have tonight that go into the basement?" I told her the Mourning Theater at 7 pm or the Mature Tour at 11 pm. I was in no way , shape or form planning on coming back that night and then all of a sudden I blurted out "I'll come back and do it with you" I quickly went home , changed my clothes and asked my kids if they wanted to come. The only taker was Chelsea. So off we went. The Cellar of the Farnsworth House is an AWESOME place. We went to the back of the room and sat down...my daughter not wanted to be squeezed in sat in front of me. Towards the end of the hour long presentation I saw her turn around and look at me. I didn't think much of it and the tour ended. My friend Kathy's husband jumped up and approached my daughter and said "You heard that didn't you?" She shook her head yes. I said "What did you hear?" She said " A scream..like someone was being murdered. Like in a horror movie." Only 4 people out of the 15 or so down there heard it. I was pretty shaken up about it. I took several pictures and made a few stops then went home. I tried to pry information from my daughter about the scream but she tried to downplay it. Later I was sitting on my couch and decided to look at the photos I had taken. What I saw shocked and amazed me. I could not believe my eyes. There was ectoplasm surrounding my daughter and encompassing her...and the ectoplasm near her face...had a face of its own!!! I yelled for my daughter to come from her room and look at the pictures. She tried to calm me down and we proceeded to go to bed. I went to work in the morning and when I got home my daughter was awake and said "Mom were you crying last night?" I said Why would I be crying? She said we woke up at 4 am to the sound of music playing and a woman crying....Could this have something to do with all this?? I don't know but I'm being vigilante for sure from now on

There Is One Thing I Am Never,,,And That Is Speechless...That Is Until Today

I am not even sure what to say...after yesterday and looking at my photos I didn't think anything could top those. I guess that is because my limited understanding can't even grasp the awesome things going on around me sometimes that I am completely oblivious to. I was at work this morning and there were guests checking out of the Jeremy room as I was cleaning. I asked them how there night was...was there any activity? They said no..it was a quiet night. I told them I would lock the door for them because I wanted to take pictures in the room of the photo on the wall just for my own piece of mind so I knew I was seeing what I thought I saw. I went into the room and started snapping pictures..all of a sudden a saw something in the glass.... I scrolled through the pictures and I almost screamed. I ran downstairs and I was like girls you have to see this.!!!There was as PLAIN AS DAY a FACE!!! Over by the bed. And the people said it was a quiet night??? OMG so after I calmed down I went back upstairs and took a couple more pictures. This time the photo was distorted by a black mist...I didn't know what to think. I figured when I got home I would upload them and look closer. I did just that. The first 6 or so were uneventful..then I got to the 7th..and OMG there was a person on the BED!!! Check these out
